TREE REMOVAL
When a tree becomes unsafe, damaged, or needs to be removed, you want a team you can trust to handle it carefully. Sonoran Tree Care provides professional tree removal services with a focus on safety, cleanup, and protecting your property from start to finish.
Tree Removal in Phoenix & the Surrounding Valley
Tree removal is not something we recommend lightly. At Sonoran Tree Care, our first goal is always to preserve healthy trees whenever it is safe and practical. Trees provide shade, beauty, habitat, and value – Especially here in the Valley, where a well-placed tree can make a real difference.
But there are times when removal is the safest and most responsible option. When that happens, you need a crew that knows how to do the job carefully, efficiently, and with respect for your property.
Sonoran Tree Care provides professional tree removal throughout Phoenix, Scottsdale, Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert, Tempe, and the surrounding Valley Area. Our team is trained, insured, and equipped to remove trees of all sizes, from small declining ornamentals to large, mature shade trees like older Eucalyptus, Mesquite, and Pine.
Some native plants and trees in Arizona may be protected by state law, local ordinances, or permitting requirements. This can include certain native species, trees located in public rights-of-way, heritage trees, and protected desert plants such as Saguaros.
During your assessment, Sonoran Tree Care will identify any potential permitting concerns and explain the next steps. We do not remove trees that require permits without first making sure the proper requirements are addressed.
We provide tree removal services across the greater Phoenix metropolitan area. Our team has the experience and equipment to handle removals safely.

F.A.Q.
Have questions about tree removal? Here are answers to some of the most common questions homeowners ask before scheduling a tree removal service.
How long does tree removal take?
Most single-tree removals can be completed in a half day or less. Larger or more complex jobs, especially those involving tight access, multiple trees, or nearby structures, may take a full day. We will give you a realistic timeline before the work is scheduled.
Will the crew damage my lawn or pool deck?
Our team uses equipment and techniques designed to minimize impact on your property. When needed, we use protective mats over grass, hardscape, and access areas. We also take extra care around pools, fences, irrigation systems, and landscaping.
Can I keep the wood?
Yes. Let us know before the job begins if you would like firewood, logs, or wood sections saved. We can set aside usable pieces for you. Some species, such as Palo Verde, may not be ideal for firewood because of their lower density.
Does homeowners insurance cover tree removal in Arizona?
It depends on your policy and the situation. If a tree falls onto your home or another covered structure, removal may be included as part of the damage claim. Removing a standing dead tree or a tree considered hazardous but not yet fallen is often not covered.
When applicable, we can provide documentation to help support your insurance claim.
Can a tree be removed without removing the stump?
Yes. The tree can be cut down and hauled away while leaving the stump in place. However, many homeowners choose stump grinding afterward because leftover stumps can attract pests, create a tripping hazard, interfere with landscaping, and sometimes produce new growth.
What should I do before the crew arrives?
Please clear vehicles, patio furniture, decorations, toys, and other personal items from the work area and access path when possible. It also helps to unlock gates, secure pets indoors, and let us know about irrigation lines, low-voltage lighting, septic systems, or anything else that may be hidden near the tree.
